Winner of two IVCA awards in 2008 - Documentary (Silver) and Charity (Bronze) categories.
This film came about because tlc went looking for a client...There is a real need for asylum/refugee organisations to challenge the prejudice and misleading assumptions about asylum seekers. It took a year of research and meetings to set up but The Migrants Resource Centre were an inspirational choice, as were the people we met. This was a calculated attempt to 're-brand' asylum seekers and reposition the issues at stake. The film was launched by the Mayor of London.
