KPMG Thinking Beyond - production completed

Here Comes The Boss hired Tim Langford to visualise and direct a big budget corporate film for KPMG's tax department. Filming took several weeks with live action and news clips composited at Molinaire. The film 'stars' four members of staff who appear at international events such as the inauguration of President Obama and the G20 summit, courtesy of some artfully composed green screen. The headline film is one of five delivered in August for international distribution.

WORLD CUP FILM FOR 2010...
Thrilla in Sevilla - in development

Following the publication of writer Tim Pear's wonderful Observer Sport story about the extraordinary on-field and off-field drama of the 1982 World Cup semi-final between West Germany and France, tlcreative wrote a proposal to turn the story into a documentary. The proposal is now fully budgeted and being considered for funding by a well known US broadcaster. The plan is to time the release of the film to coincide with the World Cup in June 2010.

INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL IN LONDON'S EAST END...

tlcreative was approached by the IUKFF (Indian UK Film Festival) to be part of the organizing committee to put on this unique festival in the Borough of Newham. We are planning to bring over several stars of Bolllywood and show a range of contemporary Indian movies which reflect both the commercial and other cinema in India. Shilpa Shetty is currently committed to present the awards night which will be held in the early part of October this year.

Richard the Third: An Arab Tragedy - in post

February - April 2009
Tim Langford and tlcreative have been working on a feature documentary about renowned Kuwaiti theatre director Sulayman Al-Bassam's epic Arab production of Richard III, originally commissioned by the RSC. It's an observational documentary which follows the journey's of the cast to the stage. Filming took place in Syria, The Lebanon, UAE, Iraq, Kuwait and Washington with some 70 hours of rushes and some extraordinary moments. Post production in London -Kuwait starts November with the plan to release the film in Arabic and English.

RECENT AWARDS FOR TLC...
IVCA awards for Best Script & Clarion documentary

March 2009
Nat Geo kids Appeal, produced by tlcreative for National Geographic Channel, claimed a Bronze for Best Script at the annual IVCA Awards. This follows a hat trick of awards for Torn (a film about asylum seekers), directed and produced by Tim Langford, the year before when it won a coveted Clarion Best Video award and a Silver for Best Documentary, Bronze for Best Charity/Welfare at the prestigious IVCA Awards.

IT'S CRICKET BUT NOT AS WE KNOW IT...
Cut-n-Run - docu-drama about Indian street cricket

As Slumdog Millionaire was released pre-prod filming and research began in India in January. It's a film about young Indians and their cricketing journeys via 'gully' or street cricket. A film of contrasts: from the slums of Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai to the 'upper class' game in the old clubs of India.
